The Tower of Babel installation is a sculpture that builds itself. A pack of small, autonomous robots is trying to climb on top of each other in order to form a tower. At some point, the tower gets too high and the robots fall down.

Mey Lean Kronemann and David Sanz Kirbis met at technarte in Bilbao in 2012, where they were both invited as speakers, and decided to collaborate on Mey’s concept of an emergent robotic sculpture.

This project is funded by a production incentive from VIDA, the International Art and Artificial Life Awards, by Fundación Telefónica.
